York House Holiday Park is the perfect base from which to explore the stunning landscape of the North York Moors – and what better way to do so than on a bike!
To make it easier for our residents and visitors to enjoy a cycling adventure, we have teamed up with Sutton Bank Bikes to provide a new bike hire service.
Booking is simple, just contact Sutton Bank Bikes and they will drop off the bike straight to your static caravan or holiday lodge. Just make sure you give them two days’ notice.
There are a range of children and adult mountain bikes available as well as road bikes, child seats, tag-a-longs, trailers and electric bikes. You can also get cycle trail information and advice on the best bike to suit your needs.
Sutton Bank, close to our holiday park, is a popular cycling destination and the steep climb features in the Tour de Yorkshire.
Park manager John Reay said: “Here at York House, cycling is one of our passions and there so many fantastic routes and trails to be explored right on our doorstep.
“We are delighted to be working with Sutton Bank Bikes and look forward to offering this new hire service to residents and visitors at our holiday park.
“The success of the Tour de Yorkshire means cycling has great prominence in this part of the world and we are keen to do our bit to support the sport and outdoor activities.
“We are looking at the possibility of applying for funding for electric charge points for e-bikes on site as we look to develop our cycling facilities in the future. The Old Barn Coffee Shop, which is on our site here at York House, is already a popular stop-off point for cyclists in need of refreshments.”
