The Old Barn Coffee Shop is offering half-price food and drink on selected days throughout August as part of the national Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Visitors to the cafe on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays this month can get 50% off their food and drink bill, up to a maximum discount of £10 per person.

The offer can be used on eligible days as many times as customers wish. No voucher is required – just mention it to one of our coffee shop team and the discount will be automatically applied.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has been launched by the Government to encourage people to visit cafes, restaurants and pubs across the UK and revitalise the industry following lockdown.

Phil Brierley, director of YHL Parks which runs The Old Barn, said: “It’s been so lovely to welcome people back to our coffee shop since we re-opened a couple of weeks ago, and we’re delighted that they will be able to enjoy our lovely homemade food and drink for half the price.

“The Eat Out to Help Out initiative will give a vital boost to the UK’s hospitality industry and we are pleased that The Old Barn is taking part. We’re hoping to welcome some familiar faces as well as new visitors over the next few weeks as people take advantage of this fantastic discount during their days out in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.”

The Old Barn Coffee Shop is situated at the entrance to York House Holiday Park near Thirsk and is open every day from 9.30am to 5pm. It re-opened on July 18th with a new layout and ordering system to comply with Government guidelines and ensure the safety of customers and staff.

The award-winning coffee shop team offer a varied menu of homemade savoury dishes and sweet treats. Seating is available both inside the cafe and on a patio outside.
