All Owners MUST have a main address elsewhere.
Can I park by my holiday home?
All Caravans on York House Holiday Park have parking on or very near the plot.
Monk Park has only 20 plots with no hardstanding parking adjacent but ample parking nonetheless.
Is there Disabled access to caravans and public areas?
General Carp Fishing – Lake Rules
FISHING HOURS
- 8am until dusk.
FISHING GEAR
- Maximum of 2 rods per angler.
- Barbless or micro-barbed hooks only.
- No fixed leads or rigs that can cause harm to fish.
- No fly fishing.
- Rig checks may be done by staff.
FISH CARE
- Large, padded unhooking mats required.
- Carp care kit (for treating wounds) must be used.
- Fish must be returned to the water immediately after weighing and photographing.
- No standing while holding fish.
- No keepnets.
BAIT RULES
- No excessive use of bait.
- No pop up bait.
- No artificial baits – plastic or foam.
- No surface fishing – the use of floating baits to catch carp off the surface. This can harm birdlife.
LAKE ETIQUETTE
- No loud music, shouting, or disruptive behaviour.
- Respect other anglers’ swim space.
- Take all rubbish home or use bins provided.
- Dogs are NOT permitted on the fishing lake.
CAMPING & FIRES
- No open fires or ground BBQs.
- Bivvies and shelters are not permitted.
- Toilets must be used – no waste in bushes or water.
CATCH & RELEASE ONLY
- No fish to be killed or taken away.
- Report any sick or injured fish to staff.
CHILDREN & GUESTS
- Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
OTHER RESTRICTIONS
- No swimming or wading.
- No drones or remote-controlled bait boats.
