We are delighted to announce that York House Holiday Park has been shortlisted in the prestigious White Rose Awards 2019.

The awards, run by Welcome to Yorkshire, celebrate tourism and hospitality organisations that excel at promoting the best that Yorkshire has to offer, from holiday providers like ourselves to tourist attractions and dining venues.

York House Holiday Park has been shortlisted in the Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year category alongside five other companies. This follows a successful run of accolades this year, with York House receiving both a gold David Bellamy Conservation Award and the Hoseasons Diamond Award in the Relax & Explore small parks category for the North of England.

White Rose Awards chair Elaine Lemm said: “With the standard of entries continuing to rise, competition was fierce, and choosing finalists not easy. With the attention to detail, passion and sheer hard work seen from so many superb businesses, it is easy to see why Yorkshire has an outstanding reputation for tourism and hospitality.”

This year’s White Rose Awards ceremony takes place in Leeds on November 26, and promises to be the biggest and best event to date. More awards are up for grabs than ever before, with 103 finalists in 19 categories.

The winner of each category will be ranked as gold, with two runners-up being rated silver and bronze. In 15 of the categories, the entire top three will then be automatically entered in the national Visit England Awards.

Welcome to Yorkshire’s head of special projects, Claudine Shaw, said: “A huge well done to everyone who’s made it on to this year’s shortlist. The White Rose Awards is one of our flagship events, and it’s such a privilege to be able to honour the stars of Yorkshire tourism.

“The competition is always tough as the standards are so incredibly high in the county. Good luck to everyone and we can’t wait to see you on the night for one of the biggest parties of the year.”

We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted, and thank our staff across all our parks for helping us to offer the very best experience for our visitors. This award really is testament to their commitment and incredible hard work.
