Why did you choose York House Holiday Park?
We had past experience and enjoyable dealings with the family ownership of this park on one of their previously owned parks and knew how well maintained their parks are.
What sealed the deal for you?
Ron liked the choice of plots and could pick one that had a sunny aspect. Jan liked the free pass into Monk Park Farm as she loves animals.
What’s been your best day out since joining us?
Jan said a visit to Helmsley, watching the sports cars near the Market Cross and having a chippy lunch with an ice cream to follow. Ron said watching Sunderland win at Wembley and getting promotion. At this point of the interview Jan reminded Ron that her team Newcastle United had gained Champions League entry next season!
What are you looking forward to doing next around the park?
We’re looking forward to the Summer Events and making new friends. Jan is also looking forward to going shopping at the York Designer Outlet as it’s only a short drive away. Ron’s not as keen on shopping but was pleased when John Wiggy told him The Motorist was only a short drive from the outlet and he could go and do some petrolhead stuff. They both said that leaving the car at the designer outlet and jumping onto the park and ride bus into York was a great stress free way of enjoying the highlights of the city centre.
Has anything surprised you?
Yes, we are delighted to see a woodpecker as a regular visitor to the tree outside of our lounge window!
